Update of the National Programme for the Accession, subject to a new round of public consultations
8 December 2025, Chișinău – Bureau for European Integration organised a new round of discussions on the update of the 2025-2029 National Programme for the Accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union.
Approximately 100 representatives of civil society, business community, academia, as well as central and local public authorities took part in the public consultations. They analysed the changes to the NPA and came up with suggestions for improvements and additions.
The National Programme for the Accession, approved by the Government on 28 May 2025, is the fundamental strategic document that sets out the priorities, actions, and pace necessary for planning and monitoring the commitments made during the accession negotiations. Its main purpose is to prepare the Republic of Moldova for the EU accession through a comprehensive process of legislative and institutional harmonization covering the 35 negotiation chapters, grouped into six thematic clusters.
The document will be updated annually, depending on developments on the European agenda, including on the basis of the European Commission's recommendations presented in the Enlargement Report for the Republic of Moldova.
