National illustration competition ‘Crăciunul mEU acasă'
The national illustration competition ‘Crăciunul mEU acasă', launched by the Bureau for European Integration, is addressed to all citizens of the Republic of Moldova. The theme of the competition is the creation of a Christmas illustration - combining the spirit of the winter holidays with the European path of the Republic of Moldova.
Participants are invited to express their artistic creativity by creating a Christmas illustration that conveys a message of unity, joy, hope and traditional motifs combined with elements referring to Moldova's path towards the European Union.
Objectives:
- creation an original Christmas illustration;
- approaching the topic of European integration in a cultural and traditional context;
- portray Christmas as a celebration of unity, which is celebrated both in Moldova and elsewhere in Europe;
- recognition and promotion the artistic talent of Moldovan citizens at national and international level.
Running period:
- 21 October 2025: Launch and official announcement of the competition;
- 21 October – 02 November 2025: Submission of entries by e-mail: cabinet-europa@gov.md;
- 03 November – 10 November 2025: Judging of the entries by the designated jury;
- 11 November 2025: Announcement of the winners and publication of the winning entries.
The winning entry, placed first, will be used for the creation of the official 2026 Christmas cards of the Bureau for European Integration which will be sent to all our partners who are helping us to build European Moldova.

National contest ‘EU & bunicii mei’

Pupils in grades V-VIII, together with their grandparents, are invited to take part in the national competition ‘EU & bunicii mei’. Through this competition, we aim to bring secondary school pupils and their grandparents together to discover - through creative activities, games and dialog - more about Europe's past, present and future.
The competition is open to:
- Middle school students (classes V-VIII) together with their grandparents;
- each team must consist of 4 members: 2 pupils and 2 grandparents (they can be from the same or different families).
Registration for the competition runs from 1 June to 1 August 2025, by filling in the form available here: https://shorturl.at/fwvap
The competition will take place at the end of August in three regions of the country:
- North: 19 August
- South: 20 August
- Center: 21 August
The teams will go through a series of eight interactive rounds - from questions about history, culture, to role-playing and team games.

The three winning teams, one from each area - the north, the center and the south of the country - will be chosen by a local jury. Each of these three teams will visit a European capital.

The competition is organized by the Bureau for European Integration, in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, the Ministry of Education and Research, the Ministry of Culture and the National Youth Agency, with the support of local municipalities, village libraries and other European partners.
EuroQuiz Moldova 2025
Pupils from grades IX-XII are invited to participate in the 'EuroQuiz ' competition organised by the Bureau for European Integration with the Ministry of Education and Research. The competition will challenge the participants knowledge about the European Union, in areas such as history, geography and the European institutions, thus encouraging the active involvement of young people in promoting European values.
To participate in this competition, teams of five pupils and a coordinating teacher may register.
Registration for the competition is to be done by the coordinating teachers until 20 March 2025 by completing the form available HERE
The competition is held in two stages:
* District level - between the teams registered for the competition within the same district;
* National level - the final stage of the competition, in which the winning teams of the district level will participate.
EuroQuiz agenda:
* 4-20 March - participants registration;
* 24-28 March - information sessions for pupils and teachers;
* 17 April - district level competition;
* 7 May - EuroQuiz national stage.
The national level winning teams (first three places) will receive diplomas, trophies and books. The team taking first place will visit Brussels in order to explore European institutions and other symbolic landmarks in the heart of Europe.
