The prime minister will submit new candidates for ministries

Prime Minister Ion Chicu participated this morning in a traditional meeting with President Igor Dodon and Speaker Zinaida Greceanii. The country's leadership reviewed the main events of recent days and set a work agenda for this week.

During the briefing, the premier said that at the moment there is a restoration of the budget revenue to last year's level. This allows the government to meet all social obligations. "On waages in the budgetary sector, it is planned to pay the annual award for most categories of state employees. It is  about those in the field of education, culture, part of medicine - which are funded from the state budget and other categories. According to the law, the annual award of up to 50% is provided ", he said.

Chicu also spoke about the Good Roads program, which runs according to the schedule, and the road rehabilitation works in the country set for this year are on the last hundred meters.

As for the situation in agriculture, he notes that despite all difficulties caused by poor weather conditions, entrepreneurs in the field are working a lot.

"In the coming months, we will allocate financial support to farmers, including from the account of about 60 million lei that reached the treasury account from the Russian Federation. Sowing of autumn crops is underway. We can only rejoice and thank the farmers for making every effort to cover the country's food security," he said.

He said that the draft to strengthen the independence of the BNM has been submitted to parliament for approval and hopes to be examined and voted on as soon as possible, so that the new program with the IMF could be signed soon.

"I asked parliament to examine this project, and appointment of vice-governors of the National Bank, so that by 20 November Moldova can report to the IMF on meeting all preventive conditions. This will allow us to conclude the new program with the IMF, for a period of 3 years in early December ", he said.

The premier said he had submitted to the president the proposal to dismiss four democratic ministers and accept the resignation request of Foreign Minister Oleg Tulea, who was appointed Moldova's ambassador to Hungary. Also today, he will come up with proposals to replace the ministers to make sure that the ministries will work at full capacity during the period when the budgets are being made.

"I want to thank my colleagues for their work. We are at the stage of elaborating and approving the budgets for next year, respectively the ministries must be at the maximum level of functionality ", he said.
