Prime Minister Ion Chicu today had a discussion with U.S. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Moldova Dereck J. Hogan.  

The discussion started with an exchange of information and opinions on the evolution of the economic and epidemiological situation in both countries. The sides confirmed the importance of the collective mobilization, in order to prevent the spread of the infection and educate new social skills.    

The U.S. government provides Moldova with multidimensional assistance for modernizing the economy and prompting a sustainable economic growth, improving and optimizing the governance process, developing agriculture, backing small- and medium-sized enterprises, etc.  

The PM thanked the American nation for the support of Moldova in the process of modernization of the state and economy, as well as for transfer of knowledge and experience.

The officials discussed the government’s intensions to put up for privatization more public asses of the state and the prime minister invited American investors to participate in this process.
