Moldova’s European agenda discussed in the Italian Chamber of Deputies and Senate
29 April 2026, Rome – Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov participated in hearings in Rome at the Senate and Chamber of Deputies, during joint sessions of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committees and the EU Policy Committees.
‘We discussed the current situation regarding the Republic of Moldova’s European agenda and the reforms we are implementing at home, as well as the priorities for the coming years: strengthening the rule of law, developing the economy, and increasing resilience,’ said Cristina Gherasimov.
The Deputy Prime Minister argues that, although the Republic of Moldova is a small country, it has big ambitions: ‘Our goal is to anchor our democracy in a space of freedom, dignity, and prosperity. With the support of our partners, we will succeed.’
