Moldova's Commission for Emergency Situations updates list of people subjected to international sanctions

The list of people subjected to international sanctions has been extended and the financial transactions made by them in Moldova will be subjected to a more rigorous control. A decision to this effect was approved at a today’s meeting of the Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE), chaired by Prime Minister Dorin Recean.

Under the Instruction, seven persons earlier included in the list of international sanctions of the European Union, United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Norway for such reasons as the destabilization of the domestic situation in Moldova or involvement in actions which infringe upon the statehood and territorial integrity of Ukraine were introduced also in the list of sanctions approved by the Commission for Emergency Situations.      

 

It is about Gheorghe Cavcaliuc, Marina Tauber, Vladimir Andronachi, Veaceslav Platon, Constantin Botnari, Aleksandr Kalinin and Grigore Caramalac.  

Also, at a today’s meeting, the CSE members ruled to allocate over 11.3 million lei from the government’s intervention fund for the maintenance of the centres of temporary placement for refugees, established centrally and locally.
