The cabinet today approved the establishment of the Honourable Diploma of Moldova’s government.  

Under the document, the diploma is a corporate distinction of the government, which is established by the cabinet and is awarded by the prime minister to citizens, institutions, organizations, creation collectives and military units as a token of high appreciation for their merits. The Honourable Diploma can be awarded also to foreign citizens, as well as institutions, organizations and creation collectives from abroad.

The distinction is provided for: substantial contribution to the development of science, art, culture and sport; active participation in the working out state policies; getting good results in the professional work and substantial contributions to the development of the national economy; development of entrepreneurship; extending the foreign economic and trade relations; promotion of reforms and implementation of advanced technologies; active participation in social and humanitarian actions; outstanding progress in education and occupying first places at national and international Olympiads, etc.   

The Honourable Diploma is awarded at request or at the prime minister’s own initiative. The Diploma is handed by the Prime Minister or by his representatives at a solemn meeting.

The present decision enters into force on the date of its publication.
