Cabinet approved today the amendment to some normative acts, in order to adjust the legal framework related to e-commerce and to eliminate the constraints that hinder the development of e-commerce.

The draft sees updating the legislation on internal trade and supplementing it with the provisions on e- commerce. Also, consumers will benefit from increased protection in online commerce, and merchants will be required to have places for returning goods. Also, online alcohol sellers and delivery personnel will be required to verify the buyer's age.

At the same time, units that practice online trade in precious metals will be exempted from the obligation to own the area of 12 square meters for the activity, and traders will be required to apply identical discounts, regardless of the means of payment (cash or non-cash ) preferred by the buyer.
