9 April 2026, Chișinău – Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov welcomed Agnese Lāce, Latvia’s Minister of Culture, who is on an official visit to Moldova, in Chișinău.

’We have much to learn from our Latvian colleagues in the European integration process, including in areas such as cultural promotion, cultural heritage protection, media policies, and audiovisual support. I also discussed with Minister Lāce how we can expand exchanges of experience and joint projects within the ‘Creative Europe’ programme,’ said Cristina Gherasimov.

Deputy Prime Minister Gherasimov thanked the authorities in Riga for their friendship, for supporting the country in strengthening institutional capacities, and for supporting the Republic of Moldova’s European path.
