2 April 2026, Chișinău – Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov met at the Government with Jérémie Pellet, Director General of the ‘Expertise France’ Agency.

’We discussed where we stand in the accession negotiation process, the efforts we are making to strengthen our institutions and implement reforms across the country, as well as the areas where we need technical and financial support in the coming period,’ said Cristina Gherasimov.

Deputy Prime Minister Gherasimov noted that through French projects, our country benefits from the presence and involvement of French experts, who work side by side with Moldovan teams on the most complex portfolios, such as justice, anti-corruption, energy, or transport: ‘We also discussed how we can expand this cooperation, especially in areas such as the environment and agriculture, where technical expertise will be essential in negotiations.’

Cristina Gherasimov thanked the French authorities for their guidance and for supporting the Republic of Moldova’s European path.
