18 November 2025, Brussels – Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, participated today, along with Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, in the first EU Enlargement Forum in Brussels, organised by the European Commission.

Moldova has been cited as an example of determination and consistency in advancing reforms in the country, even in a complicated context. ‘Over the past year, we have managed to make the most progress among all candidate countries for EU accession, while daily battling Russian interference’, said Cristina Gherasimov.

At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister mentioned that the enlargement of the European Union means a safer and more stable future for the entire continent. And Moldova can contribute to Europe's security.

We will continue to work at the same pace and with the same confidence that our place is in the great European family. ‘We thank the Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, for the initiative to organise this forum, which we hope will become an annual discussion platform for current and future member states,’ added Cristina Gherasimov.
