At its meeting, the Executive has approved today the salary conditions for staff in educational institutions operating under a financial – economic self – management regime. They will be applied starting with December this year.

The mechanism was established in accordance with the unitary wage system in the budgetary sector, based on the fact that they were financed from the state budget (BS) throughout the Plan (State order) of the state staff training (PPCS). Applying the same remuneration mechanism, it is necessary to avoid creating wage discrepancies within public system of institutions.

The staff monthly salary from institutions functioning under the financial-economic self-management system will be constituted from the fixed part, which includes the basic salary established according to the salary scale, the monthly increase for the scientific and scientific-didactic title, monthly increase for holding the title honorable and variable part that includes performance gains, but also specific bonuses. Also, staff in educational establishments can benefit from compensation for work done under adverse conditions, increases for additional work, night work and work on non-working and rest days, as well as single bonuses.

The means required for the specific bonuses will be provided and planned annually by the institutions, depending on the available financial resources. The mechanism for determining performance gains, for which funds are planned within the limit of 10 per cent of annual amount of basic salaries at institution level, as well as other types of bonuses, will be approved by an internal administrative act of the institution.

The decision also stipulates that if employees get a salary of less than MDL 2,000 following the application of the new provisions, they will receive compensatory payments.
