Prime Minister Ion Chicu today had a meeting with European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Olivér Várhelyi, within his visit to Rome.

Prime Minister Chicu informed the EU official about the Moldovan cabinet’s priorities for 2020-2023.

Olivér Várhelyi said that, in his opinion, the justice reform and the transparency of public procurements must be priority for the government, noting that EU would fully support the European integration of Moldova.  

The Prime Minister thanked the European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations for openness and encouraging and confirmed the priority of the justice sector reform in the government’s Action Plan, as well as the determination to foster the implementation of the Association Agreement with EU.
