Also, the Prime Minister appreciated the support of EBRD for the activity of the Economic Council to PM, which is an efficient platform for discussions between Government and business. "On this platform, with a broad analysis capacity, there have been developed several reform proposals to improve the business environment. The EBRD's support to the Economic Council is an efficient investment," said Pavel Filip. The Prime Minister confirmed the determination of the government to continue implementing the reform agenda and EU Association Agreement.

EBRD Deputy Chairman Alain Pilloux appreciated the government's reforms and said that the way it acted to stabilise and strengthen the banking sector helped to improve the image of Moldova. Restructuring of the banking sector together with the increase of energy security and private sector support throughout loans and other assistance to improve the investment climate are the main priorities of the EBRD Strategy for Moldova for 2017 – 2022.

Since its inception in Moldova, the EBRD has financed 123 projects, investing in Moldova's economy over €1.2 billion.
