17 February 2026, Dublin - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov is currently on a working visit to Ireland. In Dublin, she participated in the round table ‘From candidate country to EU member state. Moldova - EU enlargement and the road ahead’, organized by the Institute for European and International Affairs, alongside political analysts, academics, and experts from Irish civil society.

‘We talked about the stage Moldova is at in the negotiation process, how we are managing to implement reforms at home while facing challenges, but also about this year's objectives on the European agenda’, said Cristina Gherasimov.

Deputy Prime Minister Gherasimov believes that Moldova has much to learn from Ireland's experience in economic development, attracting investment, and raising living standards for its people.
