Localities of Chisinau municipality will be able to access national and external funds for regional development, just like other cities/municipalities in the country. In addition to the Regional Development Agencies North (ADR), Center, South and Gagauzia, the Chisinau Municipality ADR will be created, as a public institution, whose founder is the regional development policy drafting authority.

 

The Government decision, approved today by the ministers at the proposal of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, stipulates that the composition of the regional development councils will include representatives of civil society and the private sector, selected by the ministry. In the case of the ADRs for Gagauzia and for Chisinau, the regional development councils will include bashkan/mayor of the capital, heads of the local supraterritorial entities/a representative of the Municipal Council and three delegated mayors.

 

To finance the expenses for the organization and operation of ADR Chisinau Municipality, the sources provided for in the State Budget Law for the National Fund for Regional and Local Development will be used.
