1 April 2026, Chișinău – The team at the Bureau for European Integration is expanding. Today, during the Cabinet meeting, two state secretaries were appointed: Rodica Crudu, State Secretary for the Coordination of the Implementation of the EU Agenda, and Cristina Cerevate, State Secretary for European Affairs.

Rodica Crudu currently holds the position of Deputy Secretary General of the Government for European Integration. She has extensive experience in public administration and European affairs. Previously, she served as Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. She has also held leadership positions within the Organization for the Development of Entrepreneurship and in academia, serving as a lecturer at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova. Throughout her career, she has gained solid expertise in coordinating the process of Moldova’s Integration and accession to the European Union.

Cristina Cerevate is a career diplomat. Since 2014, she has worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, in the European Integration Directorate. In 2021, she was seconded to the Mission of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union, where she played a direct role in promoting key decisions regarding the Republic of Moldova’s European path, including the granting of candidate country status and the opening of accession negotiations. She also contributed to advancing Moldova’s cooperation with the EU in the areas of security and defense. Cristina Cerevate has also served at the Mission of the Republic of Moldova to the UN Office in Geneva, as well as in the Council of Europe and Human Rights Section within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, gaining experience in multilateral cooperation and the promotion of human rights.
