15 October 2025, Brussels - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, met with European Parliament Vice President Victor Negrescu, Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman David McAllister, as well as MEPs Dan Barna, Siegfried Mureșan, Eugen Tomac and Kai Tegethoff.

The dialog focused on the outcome of the recent parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova, the current state of play on the European agenda, as well as on future priorities.

Deputy Prime Minister thanked the European Parliament for the support given to the Republic of Moldova by the European Parliament for supporting the country's development and modernisation processes, including the adoption of resolutions supporting the European path of the Republic of Moldova.

‘Being in Brussels, I made a point of coming to the European Parliament to thank the MEPs for all the support given to the Republic of Moldova in strengthening the resilience of our country against hybrid threats and malign interference of Russia in trying to destabilise democratic processes at home’, said Cristina Gherasimov.
