The daily allocations for the nourishment  of the participants in school Olympiads will be increased twice. To this end, the cabinet today approved amendments to the regulation on the support of gifted pupils.

 

Thus, for the district/municipal and regional stage, up to 60 lei will be earmarked for each pupil and at the republican stage – 120 lei.    

 

Therefore, the spending needed for the Education and Research Ministry for the nourishment of about 3,700 participants in 21 republican Olympiads and contests amount to about  540,000 lei – due to be allocated from the state budget.
