Acting Prime Minister has discussion with Ambassador of China

Acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi today received on visit Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of China to Moldova Zhang Yinghong.

The two officials tackled more up-to-date subjects, in particular, the epidemiological situation from both countries, as well as the way the economic and social life was hit by the restrictions imposed by the pandemic. The sides exchanged information on the measures necessary to be further undertaken, in order to prevent the spread of the SARS Cov-2 virus in Moldova.    

Aureliu Ciocoi said that the government did its utmost to attenuate the effects of the pandemic crisis, provide the needed material assistance to the institutions and medical employees, as well as to those who suffer from Covid-19, strictly observing the recommendations by the experts in the field and of the World Health Organization (WHO). The acting PM thanked the Chinese ambassador for the material and information support provided during time, especially in the last year, when the entire world has been facing the Covid-19 virus.

Zhang Yinghong shared from the experience of his country in the sector of combating the pandemic and reiterated the Chinese government’s willingness to provide the needed support to Moldova, if necessary.
