18 February 2026, Dublin – Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov met with John Lahart, Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade, Barry Ward, Chair of the Committee on European Affairs, and Senator Martin Conway, Chair of the Ireland-Moldova Friendship Group.

’We exchanged views on where the Republic of Moldova stands in its European path, the steps we are going to take in the coming period, and the role of the Parliament in the EU accession process’, said Cristina Gherasimov.

Deputy Prime Minister Gherasimov noted that the Republic of Moldova is appreciated for its resistance to disinformation and propaganda, but especially for its efforts to advance on the path to the EU.
