The cabinet of ministers approved a draft decision on the updating of the composition of the national council for human rights and extending the number of members with right of deliberative vote from 23 to 27.

The draft sees the inclusion in the list of Council members of the deputy prime minister, infrastructure and regional development minister, deputy PM for reintegration, as well as the education and research minister, culture minister, health minister, environment minister, labour and social protection minister, agriculture and food industry minister.   

At the same time, to ensure the platform’s functionality, the head of the National Participation Council was excluded from the Council’s composition, with the expiration of his mandate.     

It is worth mentioning that the list of the Platform’s members can be supplied with representatives of non-commercial organizations, whose way of election and delegation is provided for in the Council’s Regulation.
