16th February, Chisinau - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, held discussions with representatives from civil society organizations, specifically members of the National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum.
The meeting focused on the progress made regarding the European integration agenda, particularly the initiation of the assessment process aligning national legislation with that of the EU. Additionally, deliberations encompassed strategies for civil society to contribute to advancing the European integration journey.
Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimov expressed openness to consider any suggestions that could enhance collaborative efforts in the negotiation process. She emphasized the crucial role civil society organizations play in fostering a more cohesive, democratic, and prosperous European community. Gherasimov underscored the importance of their support, highlighting that European integration transcends individual politicians, governments, or parties—it represents a collective national objective.
