Announcement on the launch of the contest to collect project proposals to be financed through the Program of activities for reintegration of the country for 2022

We hereby inform that according to the provisions of art. 3 let. a) of the Law on the state budget for 2022, no. 205 of December 6, 2021 (in force since January 1, 2022, Official Monitor of the Republic of Moldova, no. 315-324, art. 478 of 24.12.2021), budget allocations for the country's reintegration activities amounting to 15 million lei were approved.
Thus, in accordance with the provisions of Government Decision no. 131 of 21.02.2014, we announce that between February 1 and March 4, 2022, a competition will take place to collect project proposals to be evaluated, selected and approved for funding through the Program of activities for the reintegration of the country for 2022.
According to the established eligibility criteria, projects to be implemented in the Security Zone and which reflect specific activities (community and regional development, rehabilitation and renovation of local infrastructure, modernization of key social institutions, solving pressing development problems, provision of essential public services) can participate in the competition, along with actions that contribute to the promotion of confidence building measures between the population on both banks of the Nistru river and to the achievement of the government's goal of reintegrating the country.
Based on the objectives and actions set out in the Government's Action Plan for 2021-2022 and other national policy documents, a priority attention will be given in the current year to projects aimed at supporting measures to protect health and combat the pandemic crisis, supply residents with quality and high-performance public services, promoting human rights, supporting educational institutions and other strategic territorial subdivisions in the Security Zone, initiatives to restore and develop the cultural-historical heritage, strengthening ferry transport capacities across the Nistru river, supporting other key actions that contribute to the promotion of the country's reintegration goal.
According to the provisions of Government Decision no. 131 of 21.02.2014 for participation in the project competition, the initiating public authority must complete an application form, to attach to it the relevant set of documents (point 7 of Annex no. 1 to Government Decision no. 131/2014) and to submit the original file to the State Chancellery in order to verify its compliance with the established eligibility criteria with the subsequent evaluation of the project by the selection Commission.
In this regard, the project proposals that have issues of major importance as their object and that target the localities located in the perimeter of the Security Zone, will be presented in the address of the Bureau of Policies for Reintegration within the indicated deadline.
The list of project proposals selected by the Commission, as well as the distribution of the respective allocations by recipients will be approved by Government decision, after completing the procedures stipulated in the Government Decision no. 131/2014.
We remind that since the launch of the Program of activities for reintegration of the country (2011) and until the end of 2021, 476 projects / activities worth over 141 million lei have been implemented in the localities situated in the perimeter of the Security Zone of the Republic of Moldova.
