A new batch of humanitarian aid consisting of medical supplies has been delivered in the Transnistrian region

07.12.2021, Chișinău – According to the existing practices, medical authorities in Chsinau, working together with the World Health Organization Bureau in the Republic of Moldova, have ordered to deliver a new nationally-received batch of humanitarian aid in the settlements from the left bank of Nistru and Bender municipality. This humanitarian aid has the purpose of protecting medical workers and facilitating their activity in combating COVID-19 and treating infected patients.

 

Thus, according to the order issued by the Ministry of Health, medical specialists from the Transnistrian region have received the following supplies: 130 thousand protection masks (among which 30 thousands are FFP2 protection masks), 10 thousand pairs of protective glasses, 5 thousand protective robes (aprons), 5 thousand protective costumes, 6900 pairs of examination gloves and 30 pulse oximeters with consumables.

 

It is to be stated that during the entire period of epidemiologic crisis authorities in Chișinău have constantly provided support in diverse forms to beneficiaries from the eastern districts of the country, including multiple donations which contained high-performance medical devices, medical and protective equipment, redirecting hundreds of thousands of anti-COVID-19 vaccine doses which were offered free of charge to the Republic of Moldova by external donors or acquired with budgetary means.

 

The Bureau for Policies of Reintegration expresses its high regard and gratitude to the foreign partners for the solidarity and support they have demonstrated to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova.
