Working visit of the acting Deputy Prime Minister Olga Cebotari to Cocieri village from Dubasari district

14.05.2021, Chisinau – The acting Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Olga Cebotari paid a working visit to Cocieri village from Dubasari district. She met with the mayors of Cocieri, Corjova and Molovata Nouă, the local councilors, economic agents, directors of cultural and educational institutions and war veterans.
The discussion focused on the pressing issues faced by the local public authorities, by the entrepreneurs and residents, given the existing barriers to free movement via the so-called Transnistrian checkpoints. It was agreed that joint efforts with the central public authorities would be made through the negotiation platforms on the Transnistrian settlement in order to identify sustainable solutions.
Following the discussions at the meeting of April 28 from Cosnita, the issue of the ferry traffic across the Nistru river was included into the agenda. The need for uninterrupted supply with daily and strictly necessary products to localities on the Cocieri plateau, intervention measures for the next period, continuous and safe operation of the ferry were also tackled.
The aspects related to the socio-economic development of the Cocieri plateau, provision of quality medical services in each locality, the need to compensate for expenses through potential transfers with special destination, situations arising with the transport of goods through the internal customs, projects implemented through the country reintegration allowances, etc. were also brought up into discussion.
The importance of continuous cooperation in order to solve the existing problems and to provide efficient public services to citizens was highlighted.
At the same time, Olga Cebotari visited “Vlad Iovita” Theoretical High School, “Garofita” kindergarten, the House of Culture, the School of Arts and the area around Nistru, which is to be assembled for the summer season.
The dialogue with the locals was open and constructive.
