Deputy Prime Minister, Olga Cebotari, took part in the commemoration meeting of 29 years since the hostilities outbreak on Nistru

02.03.2021, Cosnita, Dubasari – The Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Olga Cebotari, took part in the meeting commemorating the victims of the hostilities on Nistru, held in Cosnita, Dubasari, where in 1992 fierce battles were fought for the defense of the unitary and indivisible state of the Republic of Moldova.
The event took place in front of the Monument of the fallen heroes for defending the independence and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova, with the participation of representatives of the district and local public administration, Dubasari Police Inspectorate, Moldovan Delegation to the Joint Control Commission, war veterans and others.
In her speech, Olga Cebotari underlined the sacred duty to remember all those who fell heroically on the battlefield so that today we can live in peace and build a better and prosperous future. She also thanked all the combatants who survived those tragic events and wished them much health and strength.
Olga Cebotari emphasized the Government's increased attention to the social protection for war veterans, such as the establishment of the Office for Relations with Veterans and increased monthly allowances starting with 1 January, 2021, which is granted regardless of whether the persons benefit or not from pensions or other state social allowances.
