The Deputy Prime Minister, Olga Cebotari, as Chair of the Committee for selection of projects under the Country Reintegration Action Program (PART), organized today, January 13, 2021, an online working session with the representatives of local and central public authorities.

Given the fact that between January 18 and February 19, 2021, will take place the competition for collecting project proposals to be funded under PART 2021, during the discussion with the mayors and representatives of central public authorities, were addressed issues on modalities of participation in the competition, necessary documents, eligibility criteria of the submitted projects, procedures for their selection and approval, terms of the allocated resources’ capitalization, evaluation and reporting procedures of the implementation process.

The event was also a good opportunity to inform the potential beneficiaries about the priority areas of PART 2021, including promotion of tourism, cultural and sports activities, organization of summer camps/campuses, increase transport capacity of persons and goods by ferries across the Nistru river, development of institutional web pages, etc.

Ordinarily, as in previous years, one-time material aid will be allocated for the 8 Latin-script schools from the Transnistrian region. Special attention will be paid to support the educational projects and to ensure the activity of the Delegation of the Republic of Moldova to the Joint Control Commission.

Forasmuch, in previous years, a lot of projects have been implemented in construction and repair of buildings, street lighting, water supply and sewerage, and in order to avoid overlap with other sectoral funds allocated from budgetary resources, it was recommended to focus on other innovative ideas and initiatives with a major impact for the inhabitants of both banks of the Nistru river.

The Deputy Prime Minister stated that "the Country Reintegration Action Programs aim at financing projects that can contribute significantly to promote the process of reintegrating the country, that have a major impact to solving community emergencies, and that stimulate the approach of the two banks of Nistru”.

Attention was drawn to the need to implement each project efficiently and transparently, in compliance with the rigors established in the Government Decision no.131/2014.

The Bureau for Reintegration will continue to provide the necessary advisory assistance to the interested authorities and beneficiaries and will ensure the monitoring of the targeted activities’ implementation throughout the year.

The Deputy Prime Minister wished success to all the parties present at the discussion, so that the established objectives and priorities are achieved through the most creative and competitive projects.
