Ministerial Council and priorities of Sweden’s OSCE Presidency discussed by the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Olga Cebotari, and the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, Claus Neukirch

The Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Olga Cebotari, met with the Head of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova, Claus Neukirch, to continue discussions on issues related to the Transnistrian file.
The discussions focused on the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting, scheduled for December 3-4, in Tirana, Albania, as well as the need for productive consultations to finalize the Declaration of the OSCE Ministerial Council on the "5+2" negotiation process for the Transnistrian settlement, to be approved at the 27th Council meeting.
The parties exchanged views on the priorities in the Transnistrian file during Sweden’s OSCE Presidency in 2021, which will also focus on creating the necessary conditions for organizing a new round of "5+2" negotiations, implementation of the so-called Berlin Plus Package and identification of sustainable solutions to the most current problems affecting the inhabitants on both banks of the Nistru river.
