The Deputy Prime Minister, Cristina Lesnic, had another meeting today with the Head of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova, Claus Neukirch, to continue discussions on the topics addressed last week. Thereby, Cristina Lesnic handed a list of individual cases on human rights violations in the Transnistrian region, which are a matter of concern for the constitutional authorities. Deterioration of the human rights situation during the COVID-19 pandemic was a special topic of discussions. It was noted that this dimension requires a comprehensive, effective approach and an effective remedy.

The officials also exchanged views on the dynamics of the dialogue regarding the Transnistrian dispute, implementation of the Berlin Plus Package agreements, and communication with the 5+2 actors.

They likewise discussed the security of the electoral process and of the citizens in the near future.

The OSCE Mission was informed that the Working Group on Transportation is due to meet online on 30 September, 2020.
