On November 18, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian had a meeting with H.E Lorenzo Tomassoni, the Ambassador of Italy to the Republic of Moldova.

The talks focused on strengthening bilateral relations between the Republic of Moldova and Italy, with a special focus on the Transnistrian settlement process and Italy's support in this endeavor.

The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the Italian Republic for its constant support for the Republic of Moldova, both in the context of the reintegration process and in that of European integration.

In turn, Ambassador Lorenzo Tomassoni reaffirmed Italy's commitment to supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova.
