During the session on December 21, 2023, the Government approved changes to Government Decision No. 815/2005 regarding the regulation of the traffic of goods and services that constitute the subject of foreign trade activities of economic agents in the Transnistrian region, as well as their provision of electronic communication networks and services.

The purpose of the amendments to Government Decision No. 815/2005 is to ensure the security of energy supply to both consumers on the left and right banks of the Nistru River and to prevent the blocking of the licensing process for activities in the energy sectors. This is achieved by establishing a provisional licensing mechanism for economic agents in the Transnistrian region until the identification and approval of the necessary mechanisms for regulating and controlling participants in the energy markets.

Additionally, the executive approved the exclusion from Government Decision No. 1001/2001 regarding the declaration of goods by economic agents in the eastern districts of the Republic of Moldova, of the provision that allowed economic agents in the Transnistrian region to customs clearance goods without paying for environmental pollution. It was determined that environmental permits must be obtained.

Thus, conditions of fair competition were created by the full payment of environmental pollution fees by all economic agents registered within the Public Institution "Public Services Agency."

The modification of the regulatory framework regulating the activities of economic agents from the Transnistrian region is carried out in the context of their gradual integration into the unique economic and commercial space of the Republic of Moldova.
