The opening of the 2023-2024 academic year was discussed with the directors of the 8 educational institutions teaching in Romanian in the Transnistrian region

Today, August 15, 2023, the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian, together with the representatives of the Ministry of Education and Research and the Bureau for Reintegration Policies, held a working meeting with the directors of the 8 educational institutions teaching in Romanian in the Transnistrian region.
The dialogue focused on the totals of the 2022-2023 academic year, the main achievements reached, the future perspectives, the management of the problems encountered by the schools, including the issues of free movement, sufficient technical and material equipment, ensuring the safety of students and teaching staff, avoiding potential challenges from Tiraspol.
The attractiveness of the educational process in these institutions was reiterated. It manifested by the increase every year in the number of students from the localities on the left bank of the Nistru River and the municipality of Bender.
The directors of the educational institutions addressed cordial gratitude to the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration and the Bureau for Reintegration Policies for the constant assistance provided for the smooth running of the educational process in these institutions, as well as for the support provided through the projects of the Program of Activities for the Reintegration of the Country.
The Deputy Prime Minister specified that the topic of schools is permanently maintained in the existing dialogue formats with Tiraspol, as well as in the interaction with the development partners of the Republic of Moldova, stating that together with external donors, efforts will be made to solve the urgent needs of the schools, including the provision of reliable means of transport, didactic materials and equipment.
