A productive online dialogue was held on December 12th this year between Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian and Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Tea Akhvlediani, resumed after a long break to ensure continuity of the trilateral cooperation platform between the Republic of Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine, initiated in 2018.

The government officials were accompanied by representatives of the Reintegration Policies Bureau, the Georgian Ministry for Reconciliation and Civic Equality and the Georgian Embassy’s team in Chisinau.

The dialogue provided a good opportunity to review the state of play on the files under management and to outline the prospects for strengthening interaction on responsibility areas.

The parties addressed issues of peaceful and political settlement of the conflicts on the territories of the Republic of Moldova and Georgia, efforts to restore territorial integrity within internationally recognised borders, and expressed readiness to hold joint conferences, including on the management of regional conflicts, in particular those from the Black Sea basin.

The officials expressed their full receptiveness in favour of an active and productive dialogue between the signatories of the Memorandum of Understanding and Mutual Cooperation dated December 19th, 2018, and organisation of mutual events/visits in the near future, with the participation of government officials and teams of concerned institutions, conducting an exchange of best practices in the field of the country's reintegration policies.

Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian stressed the full openness of Chisinau to develop cooperation on various issues of mutual interest and to strengthen efforts in synchronization with relevant external partners to overcome existing difficulties and challenges.
