In the context of the Government meeting held in Edinet on Wednesday, November 23rd, Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian paid a working visit to his home village of Hadarauti, Ocnita district. The meeting, which took place at the House of Culture, was attended by representatives of the local public administration, local advisers, entrepreneurs, teachers, medical staff, and inhabitants of the village. The meeting took place in semi-darkness, while Russian air strikes could be heard from the neighboring Ukraine.
Discussions focused on the problems faced by the inhabitants of the village; the latest developments in the country were also mentioned, including the energy and social-economic crisis. Considering that the locality borders the Chernivtsi region of Ukraine, being also the place where the northern branch of the gas pipeline coming from the neighboring country enters the Republic of Moldova, the topic of the Russian aggression against the Ukrainian people and its consequences for our country was also discussed.
Mayor Iurie Lupu thanked the central authorities for their efforts to maintain social, economic and political stability in this difficult period.
