A new cycle of trainings for medical workers from both banks of the river Nistru has started in Chișinău

6.12.2021, Chișinău – Medical workers from both banks of Nistru will undergo training in Chisinau in one month-lasting professional development courses regarding strengthening human resource capabilities in medical institutions. The training cycle takes place with the support of the Ministry of Health, the World Health Organization’s Chisinau Bureau and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

 

The beneficiaries of these courses are medical workers (pediatricians and family medics) from hospitals and basic medical assistance institutions from both banks of Nistru.

 

The main goal of this technical support is to enhance the capabilities of first line medical workers and to provide universal access to quality medical help, based on clinical proof, for all population of the Republic of Moldova.

 

This initiative has been preceded by discussions at a technical level between medical specialists from both banks of river Nistru regarding informational and educational support in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, including implementation of anti-COVID-19 vaccination.

 

Managing medical urgencies, including adverse post-vaccination events and severe cases of COVID-19, as well as measures to prevent and control the infection constitute important aspects that are frequently adjusted to new therapeutic and medicine-related practices. This takes place according to the availability of new scientific proof in managing medical urgencies in children and severe cases of COVID-19 as well as post-vaccination side effects.

 

The courses take place at the University Center for Simulation in Medical Instruction of the Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (the Department of Epidemiology).
