The re-arrangement works at the trilateral checkpoint no.9/right of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces deployed at Vadul lui Voda bridge over the Nistru River were launched on October 5, 2021 following a decision of the Joint Control Commission. After completion of the works, the road will be cleared of all artificial obstacles and the Cosnita-Balabanesti-Dubasarii Vechi road segment, which has not been operational for 29 years, and the Chisinau - Vadul-lui-Voda junction will be unblocked.

The resettlement will take place in stages and will be finalized by the end of this year. It will include the relocation of the checkpoint infrastructure, in particular the concrete blocks, the armored car (TAB) and the staff module (workplaces and auxiliary objects), according to the plan developed by the Joint Military Command of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces and approved by the Joint Control Commission.

The next phase works will include installation of the power supply system and acquisition of new equipment and furniture to improve the working conditions for peacekeepers.

Similar works are planned to be carried out at the checkpoint no. 9 / left, which will be evacuated from the road and will no longer constrain the traffic.
