Political representatives of Chisinau and Tiraspol tackled the most urgent topical issues on the dialogue agenda

Today, September 3, a working meeting was held inside the Bender headquarters of the OSCE Mission in Moldova between the chief negotiator from Chisinau, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Vlad Kulminski, and the political representative from Tiraspol in the negotiation process on the Transnistrian settlement, Vitaly Ignatiev.
The political representatives discussed about the most topical issues on the agenda and agreed on the need to identify solutions in the interest of the inhabitants of both banks of the Nistru.
The issue of vehicles with neutral-design number plates was on the agenda of the discussions. Potential practical mechanisms were highlighted in order to streamline the activity of the registration offices in Tiraspol and Ribnița and increase the number of beneficiaries of this public service provided by the authorities of the Republic of Moldova.
It was also agreed that the work of sectoral working groups, especially that of experts in car traffic area, will be relaunched in the near future in order to identify technical solutions for the problems that emerge in the process.
Some other important topics were tackled as well, such as: COVID-19 vaccines’ supply for inhabitants on both banks of the Nistru, proper functioning of Latin script schools, removal of all barriers for free movement, etc.
The next meeting of political representatives will be agreed in a working regime.
