It was not possible to include in the agenda of the meeting on June 17 the most pressing issues that endanger the situation in the Security Zone. Tiraspol’s representatives opposed it and they also avoided discussing issues regarding the elimination of "border guards" from the perimeter of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces.

The initiative of the Delegation of the Republic of Moldova to oblige the Joint Military Command to submit the results on fulfillment of the decision of 24 September 2020 regarding documentation of illegal posts installed during the pandemic was not approved either.

The parties only approved the weekly report of the Joint Military Command for 9-15 June 2021 on the situation in the Security Zone, as well as 5 other reports for previous periods.

At the meeting on 15 June of the working group where the checkpoints were discussed, the Transnistrian side refused to present documents related to the abusive installation of the "border guard" checkpoints in Zahorna. Thus, this issue is also in a deadlock.

With regard to the optimization of the infrastructure of the posts located on both banks of Nistru near Vadul-lui-Voda, the Joint Military Command came up with an action plan, but it was not approved as the Transnistrian side requested time for further consultations.

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 24 June 2021.
