Working visit of the acting Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Olga Cebotari to Rezina

17.06.2021, Chisinau – The acting Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Olga Cebotari paid a working visit to Rezina, located in the Security Zone, where she met with the representatives of level I and II local public administration, decentralized authorities, the Territorial Office of the State Chancellery, medical and teaching staff from the district.

 

The current topics for Rezina and the localities from the district, the modalities and possible measures that need to be taken in order to solve the existing problems were addressed during the discussions.

 

The interlocutors spoke about improving the education system and providing more facilities for young people from both banks of Nistru, enhancing access to a wide range of social services, developing the road infrastructure, free movement and the impact of projects funded through the Country Reintegration Action Program (PART) towards the inhabitants of Rezina district and the Transnistrian region. 

 

The Deputy Prime Minister Olga Cebotari spoke with the representatives of the local public administration and the medical staff from IMSP Rezina District Hospital about combating the infection and immunizing the population with the anti-COVID-19 vaccine. She also mentioned the free movement of medical staff and access to health care for residents from both banks of the Nistru river.

 

Further, Olga Cebotari visited the Theoretical High School "Olimp" from Rezina – an institution where students from Rezina, district of Ribnita and other localities on the left bank of the Nistru study. The high school benefited from projects financed through PART during 2017-2021, totaling 2.64 million lei.

 

Another strategically important facility for Rezina and for the neighboring districts, including for the Transnistrian region, visited by the Deputy Prime Minister, is the Rescuers and Firefighters Unit. It started operating in 2018 after being fundamentally renovated with allocations from the state budget and the reintegration fund. As in previous years, the Rescuers and Firefighters Unit from Rezina will benefit this year from 800 thousand lei granted through PART (GD 68/2021).

 

Olga Cebotari also traveled to the Rezina – Ribnita road bridge, a national strategic bridge that connects the two banks. At the end of the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister gave assurances that the central public authorities will continue to support the residents of Rezina district in order to overcome the difficulties they face.
