18.05.2021, Chisinau – The acting Deputy Prime Minister Olga Cebotari participated as a speaker in the workshop "Inclusive OSCE - supported conflict resolution efforts with a focus on Track 1 level processes", held within the Conflict Cycle Seminar entitled "Ten years after Vilnius – Advancing an inclusive ‘whole-of-OSCE’ approach to prevent violent conflict and build sustainable peace".

The goal of the online event was to summarize the progress made over the last decade and discuss the future prospects of the "integrated OSCE" approach to preventing violent conflicts and building sustainable peace. It was also a good opportunity to exchange views and good practices on resolving conflicts through the gender dimension.

Among participants in the panel discussion were Annika Söder, Ambassador, the OSCE Special Representative of the Presidency-in-Office for the South Caucasus; Barrie Lynne Freeman, the Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo; Sergio Jaramillo Caro, ex-High Commissioner for Peace in Columbia, Senior Adviser at the European Institute of Peace.

In her speech, the acting Deputy Prime Minister described the evolution of peace and security processes in the Republic of Moldova from the perspective of implementing the UN Resolution 1325 and the National Action Plan for 2018-2021. She highlighted the opportunities and prospects for integrating the gender dimension into these processes and the importance of promoting universal values related to prevention, involvement in conflict resolution and supporting post-conflict rehabilitation activities.

The acting Deputy Prime Minister thanked OSCE for the multidimensional support in the Transnistrian settlement process and expressed confidence on intensifying joint efforts to promote human rights and gender policies.
