Following the efforts to support the inhabitants of the eastern districts of the country in combating and treating Covid-19 infection, 20 oxygen concentrators, their maintenance materials, and 100 pulse oximeters, which were part of the assistance offered to the Republic of Moldova, were delivered to hospitals in the Transnistrian region on 25 March.

The medical equipment was provided to the Republic of Moldova thanks to the financial and technical support of the European Union and the Regional Office for Europe of the World Health Organization, within the joint project "Solidarity for Health" – an initiative to combat the Covid-19 pandemic in the Eastern Partnership countries.

This indicates once again that the Chisinau authorities are continuously showing full openness to provide assistance in combating the Covid-19 pandemic throughout the country, including in the localities from the left bank of Nistru and in the perimeter of the Security Zone.

Previously, the medical institutions from the Transnistrian region received masks, respirators, goggles, gowns, and doses of vaccine against Covid-19 as humanitarian assistance and personal protective equipment.

This humanitarian approach will continue based on the WHO recommendations and the positive obligations of the state of the Republic of Moldova towards its citizens throughout the country.
