Working meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister for reintegration with the People’s Advocate and the People’s Advocate for Child’s Rights

Today, the Deputy Prime Minister for reintegration Oleg Serebrian had a working meeting with Ceslav Panico, the People’s Advocate (Ombudsman) and Maia Bănărescu, the People’s Advocate for Child’s Rights.
During the discussions, an exchange of opinions was made and joint institutional priorities were pointed out on aspects concerning human rights protection in the Transnistrian region with a stress on child’s rights protection, the activity of the People’s Advocate Representative Office in Varnița and the established priorities for the activity of the Working Groups for human rights.
The importance of maintaining and developing inter-institutional cooperation aimed at solving serious human rights issues on uncontrolled territory by the constitutional authorities, involving civil society on both banks of the Nistru River and the foreign partners of the Republic of Moldova, was highlighted.
