13 June 2025 – This week in Brussels, teams from several public institutions analysed, together with European Commission experts, Chapter 14 – Transport Policy and Chapter 21 – Trans-European Networks.
The implementation of policies in these areas will bring numerous benefits to the Republic of Moldova and its citizens:
- more modern and safer transport services – on roads, railways, waterways, and in the air;
- faster connections with Ukraine, Romania, and other EU Member States;
- more investment in infrastructure – including bridges over the Prut and Nistru Rivers, motorways and electrified railways with European gauge;
- more competitive economy and greater mobility for citizens.
‘I would like to thank my colleagues from the 18 state institutions who have worked hard to present the European Commission experts with a clear picture of our country's level of preparedness in the field of transport,’ said Cristina Gherasimov.
