30th April 2024, Chisinau - Through an implementing Regulation published today in the Official Journal of the EU, the European Commission has granted authorization for the export of fresh chicken meat from the Republic of Moldova. This development is a result of ongoing dialogue within the framework of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA), promising new avenues for the growth of the country's poultry industry. This decision further facilitates the integration of the national economy into the European Single Market.

It is worth noting that in March 2023, our country received authorization from the European Commission for the first time to export processed poultry meat and eggs (category A) to European countries.

The National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) encourages economic operators to pursue opportunities for exporting Moldovan products to the European Union and pledges to offer the necessary support to ensure producers adhere to EU requirements.
