23.09.2021, Chisinau – Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita jointly with Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Vlad Kulminski conducted a fact-finding visit to Dubasari rayon to take stock of the current issues in its localities and operation of its key institutions, as well as the situation of the middle school from Ustia village and the House of Culture from Cocieri village. Opportunities were explored for promoting new development and modernization projects with social impact at the community level.

The middle school from Ustia received financial support of 640 thousand MDL through the Program of the Country's Reintegration Activities for 2021 (Government Decision no.68/2021). Money was allocated for capital renovation of the rooftop of study block “A”, which has never been renovated in the 32 years since its commissioning.

Another topic of discussion referred to the ferryboats of the State Enterprise „Bacul Molovata” which provide a link with the villages from Cocieri plateau and represent a strategic source of supply with vital and first-need products for inhabitants from Molovata Nouă, Roghi, Cocieri, Mahala and  Corjova villages. Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita assured that prompt measures will be taken together with external partners for purchasing new modern ferryboats, which will ensure smooth and secure transportation of people, goods and vehicles across the Nistru river, including during the cold period of year.

The Prime Minister also tackled current issues faced by veterans of the war from Dubasari rayon, noting that implementation and strengthening of policies in the field of their social protection and improvement of their living conditions are among permanent objectives to be implemented in order to guarantee the fundamental rights of veterans and provide them with the necessary assistance.

During the meeting with farmers and economic operators from the Dubasari rayon, it was mentioned that owners of farmlands beyond the Ribnita-Tiraspol highway will benefit from a green corridor through internal Customs’ control points, and will no longer face difficulties when transporting their harvest. In this sense, the amended provisions of the Government Decision no. 792/2004 are to enter into force shortly.

Potential amendments to the Regulation on Subsidies in Agriculture have also been discussed. In this context, the Prime Minister stressed that the mechanism for granting subsidies for agriculture is currently being adjusted so as to ensure maximum transparency, fairness, and efficiency.

The Deputy Prime Minister Vlad Kulminski outlined the need for cooperation with all public authorities for the effective management of existing issues, and noted the openness of the Government and the Bureau for Reintegration Policies to provide constant support in achieving the common goals.
