3 July 2025, Brussels – Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov met with Maryem Van den Heuvel, representative of the General Secretariat of the Council of the EU. The discussions focused on preparations for the Moldova-EU Summit, which will take place on 4 July in Chișinău.

Cristina Gherasimov expressed her gratitude for the support provided by the Secretariat in advancing key decisions for Moldova within the Council, such as the adoption of the Growth Plan for Moldova and the organisation of the Summit.

‘We discussed the progress made in the process of implementing reforms, the state of accession negotiations and the priorities of the Economic Growth Plan - all with a single goal: to make the benefits of integration as visible as possible to citizens.
