New low-cost flight to be launched in Moldova

New low-cost flight to be launched in Moldova

The Chisinau-Warsaw flight will be launched on 26 October. Prime Minister Iurie Leanca and representatives of a Polish flight company announced about this at a meeting, held early in the morning.

The flights will be operated four times a week and the tickets may be already bought on the company’s site, whereas at the local and abroad authorised agencies in a week.

Leanca welcomed the entrance of a new European low-cost company on the Moldovan air transport services market. „I am confident that once the new flight launched, the citizens will be the first to take advantage of it, as they will have access to lower prices and a healthy competition will be created in the area” Leanca said.

The company’s Business Manager, Mateusz Kokosinki, told about the benefits of the launch of this flight and stressed that, via Warsaw, the Moldovans would have direct access to more European states and North America.

„In case if the demand is great, then we will increase the number of flights. We have nice ties with Moldova in more sectors and hope to boost them up in the future,” the company’s representatives said.

The Bombardier Q400 NextGen airplane will operate the Chisinau-Warsaw flight. This is a turboprop-type plane, the youngest in the European Union, with an average age of up to three years and a capacity of 78 seats.

In 2013, other two low-cost flight companies launched direct flights from and to Chisinau: Wizz Air and Fly Dubai.
