31 January 2025, Chișinău - Bureau for European Integration organised public consultations on the National Accession Program 2025 - 2029 (NAP) on 30 - 31 January. Over two days, more than 250 public servants involved in the European integration process, members of the negotiation working groups, representatives of civil society, business associations, the Economic Council to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, as well as members of the Parliament attended in three sessions.

'The document enables a detailed planning of the actions to be performed by the authorities on our path towards the EU. It includes concrete measures, terms and institutions responsible for their realisation', Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, declared at the opening of the event.

During the consultations was emphasised the importance of the National Accession Program and active cooperation of the entire society.

'The NAP becomes the main national strategic planning document, which defines the priorities, actions, dynamics and resources needed to harmonise national legislation with the EU acquis, as well as the activities required to adapt national institutions to the administrative structures of the European Union. It represents the roadmap for the next five years (2025-2029), which will allow us to monitor the progress in the fulfillment of the assumed commitments, both through the Association Agreement and during the EU accession negotiations', explained the State Secretary for European Integration, Rodica Crudu.

Participants at the discussions expressed their opinion on the provisions of the Program and made suggestions that would contribute to its improvement.

'I express my gratitude to the teams that have mobilised to carry out this extensive and important exercise for our European path. We plan to have the National Accession Program adopted, at the latest, by the end of this spring,' said Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov.

After the approval of the National Accession Program, it will be revised annually, immediately after the publication by the European Commission of the EU Enlargement Package.
