‘Moștenitorii Europei’ from Sângerei, winners of the northern edition of the contest ‘EU & bunicii mei’
Today, in the village of Răuțel, Fălești district, the first day of the national contest ‘EU & bunicii mei’ took place. The event brought together several teams from Briceni, Bălți, Dondușeni, Ocnița, Fălești, Ungheni - each consisting of two grandchildren and two grandparents - who, during several interactive rounds, demonstrated their knowledge of European history and culture, their ingenuity, but also their spirit of cooperation between generations.
‘I am very happy for the emotions and the experience each of them had, as well as for the time spent together. Congratulations to the winners and all the participants’, said Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov.
At the end of the competition, the first three places were won by:
- First place - team ‘Moștenitorii Europei’ from Sângerei;
- Second place - team ‘Bunicii & adolescenții europeni’ from Cernoleuca, Dondușeni;
- Third place - team ‘Concordia’ from Bălți.
The four members of the winning ‘Moștenitorii Europei’ team - two grandparents and two grandchildren - will go on a trip to a European capital. All participants in the competition also received several prizes such as gadgets, backpacks full of school supplies and other surprises.
The ‘EU & bunicii mei’ competition continues for the next two days in the southern and central regions of the country: on 20 August - in the village of Văleni, Cahul district, and on 21 August - in the town of Stăuceni.
The event is organised by the Bureau for European Integration, in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, the Ministry of Education and Research, the Ministry of Culture, the Association of Intellectual Games of Moldova and the National Youth Agency, with the support of the Delegation of the European Union in Chisinau, Embassy of France in the Republic of Moldova, Embassy of Greece in the Republic of Moldova, Embassy of the Czech Republic in the Republic of Moldova, UNFPA Moldova, CASMED, Moldcell Foundation and Medpark Foundation.
